The Myanmar 5G Forum 2018 under the theme “5G Bridges Myanmar to Future Digital World” was held in Nay Pyi Taw, capital of Myanmar on 19 December with Absen LED support.
5G is the fifth generation of cellular mobile communications. It succeeds the 4G, 3G and 2G systems. 5G performance targets high data rate, reduced latency, energy saving, cost reduction, higher system capacity, and massive device connectivity. As governments around the world gear up to usher in the fifth generation of wireless technology atop their digital agendas, Myanmar is following this trend by taking step forward to introduce 5G infrastructure.
The event was jointly organized by Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications Department and Huawei Technologies Co. with LED screen support from Absen. It covered the development of 5G and its potential impact on Myanmar as well as introduced the applications of the technology.
The forum featured the director general of Posts and Telecommunications department under the ministry, U Soe Thein, the permanent secretary at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, Chit Wai and vice president of Huawei Global Carrier Business Group, Jianjun Zhou, as well as other officials and international experts who shared their insights on 5G and its potential impacts on Myanmar.
A stage featuring three HD LED screens was set up in the hall where the speakers delivered keynote speeches. It configured with a 7 x 4-meter Absen DV 3.9mm LED main screen as the stage backdrop flanked by two 1.5 x 4-meter side screens, to ensure the optimum viewing experience and bring key messages to life.
